CINAHL (Cumulative Index to Nursing & Allied Health Literature) via EBSCO - this index is the authoritative resource for nursing and allied health professionals, students, educators and researchers. It provides indexing and abstracting as well as links to full-text for over 1,600 current nursing and allied health journals and publications dating back to 1982. Access is limited to authorized Michener Institute users.
PubMed (Medline) - PubMed allows searching of the Medline database of 5,000 high quality medical journals. Citations and abstracts of articles are included, plus many are linked to full-text. Produced by the U.S. National Library of Medicine, this index is accessible to anyone on the web. For help using PubMed, see a PubMed basics handout or go to the Help/FAQ page.
ERIC- via EBSCO - This index, produced by the Educational Resources Information Center, contains citations and abstracts from almost 1000 education-related journals, and 2200 educational documents. Authorized Michener Institute users may download the full text of ERIC documents from 1996 to date.
Ingenta - A journal index with free access, where available, to the article summaries of over 26,000 publications. Full-text articles of over 5,400 publications from 170 publishers are available to subscribers, or by pay-per-view. The Michener Institute subscribes to selected journals only which are listed under Individual Journal Titles. Eligible Michener users may contact LRC staff to request interlibrary loans for other titles (charges may apply).

Approximately 890 full-text online journals from Elsevier Science. Full-text access is limited to authorized Michener users. Note that tables of contents and abstracts are available for many more Elsevier journals that we do not subscribe to.
Wiley InterScience (The titles we subscribe to are undifferentiated from titles we don't subscribe to. If, when you click to get the full text of an article, you are asked for a login name and password, it means that we do not have access. The vendor says this will be addressed, but does not have a time line .) Over 360 full-text online journals in scientific, technical and medical subject areas, including journal content from Blackwell Synergy. Full-text access is limited to authorized Michener users. Note that tables of contents and abstracts are available for more journals that we do not subscribe to.
Cochrane Library Cochrane Systematic Reviews investigate the effects of interventions for prevention, treatment and rehabilitation in a healthcare setting. The database also includes the full text of systematic reviews of empirical methodological studies (Method Reviews) prepared by The Cochrane Collaboration. If there is no review on a specific topic, the other databases in The Cochrane Library will provide information on other good quality reviews and randomized trials. Please note that these are not necessarily full text.

PubMed Central A digital archive of life sciences journal literature managed by the National Center for Biotechnology Information at the U.S. National Library of Medicine. Access is free and unrestricted and includes BioMed Central articles.
