Human Genome Resources

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/projects/genome/guide/human/ The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website serving as an information infrastructure for researchers and scientists. Includes links to databases and other genetics resources including a genome browser, SNP database, OMIM and Map Viewer.

Links to the Genetic World http://www.ornl.gov/TechResources/Human_Genome/home.html Part of the Human Genome Project, this site offers a wide selection of links. The first section encompasses general sites, sequencing, mapping, and instrumentation. The second includes resources such as books, periodicals, associations. Links to gene therapy, gene function, mutations, images and ethical, legal and social issues information are found in the third section.

Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/Omim/ This database is a catalog of human genes and genetic disorders developed for the World Wide Web by the National Center for Biotechnology Information. It contains textual information, pictures, reference information, and also the OMIM Morbid Map, a catalogue of genetic diseases and their cytogenetic map locations arranged alphabetically by disease.
