Scholarships and Bursaries
Each year, Michener offers over $45,000 in student awards. Awards are available to full-time students, in recognition of student achievement.
Michener would like to thank the generous individuals, organizations and foundations who provide funds for scholarships and bursaries, often in the form of endowments, or annual and one-time donations.
Scholarships
Scholarships are awarded based on criteria that reflect values inherent to The Michener Institute, including academic excellence, community involvement and leadership.
Bursaries
Bursaries are allocated on the basis of demonstrated financial need. Academic performance, program residency, and student involvement are also determining factors in selecting a recipient. If there is evidence that a student has misrepresented his or her financial situation, bursary assistance will be refused.
Any student registered in a full time Michener program may apply - individual scholarship/bursary awards are outlined below and details are available through the Financial Aid Office. The Scholarships and Bursaries Committee, consisting of student, staff and board representatives, is responsible for selecting recipients.
Note: Students enrolled in the Medical Radiation Sciences Program (Nuclear Medicine Technology, Radiation Therapy, and Radiological Technology) are also eligible for awards offered by the University of Toronto. Information about these awards can be obtained by visiting the University of Toronto website.

Scholarship and Bursary awards are considered part of a student's taxable income for the year. Michener will issue T4A forms to all recipients by the end of February, reflecting awards issued in the previous calendar year.

The value and availability of awards are subject to change at the discretion of both the donor and The Michener Institute's Scholarships and Bursaries Committee.
