Getting Involved
As a Michener student you have many opportunities to get involved and participate in school activities.
Student Council
The Student Council serves as the students' representative body. It initiates and directs student activities, acts as liaison with Michener staff, and represents the student body on many influential Michener committees. The council consists of student representatives elected from each of the programs, and members attend weekly meetings to conduct business. A staff member serves as advisor to assist the council.

Intramurals
Meet new people and stay active by signing up for an intramural team. Have fun competing in various tournaments, including indoor soccer, volleyball, basketball and dodgeball.
A sign-up sheet is posted on the gym doors at the beginning of each semester.

The Michener Senate
The Michener Senate is an interprofessional body that represents all members of the Michener community including students, faculty, staff, clinical educators and alumni. It helps to increase awareness of student issues and is an inclusive forum for collaborative strategic conversations.
As a member of the senate you have the opportunity to gain experience that can be reflected in your personal résumé. Develop and enhance leadership, communication and interpersonal skills by work collaboratively with others to influence the decision-making process at Michener.
