STEP 1: Choose A Program

Michener has a wide range of full-time applied health sciences programs. Visit our program pages to learn more about the professions and see if an applied health science career is right for you!

STEP 2: Review Admissions Requirements

Our Admission Requirements page provides detailed information to help you determine the requirements specific to your chosen program.
Review the admission requirements for each program carefully to prepare your application.

STEP 3:  Prepare Supporting Documents

Each program may require specific documents to be considered for admission. Check our Supporting Documents page to review the required documents for your application.

STEP 4: Apply Online

Apply at ontariocolleges.ca by February 1, 2024, and pay the $125 application fee and the $55 Michener Supplemental Application fee.

Michener acknowledges applications on a weekly basis. All applicants will receive an acknowledgment email with a six-digit Michener ID (prepended by 3 zeros).

For applications to the University of Toronto Joint Programs – Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Therapy, and Radiological Technology, please visit the University of Toronto’s MRS Admissions.

STEP 5: Register and Complete the Computer Based Assessment for Sampling Personal Characteristics (Casper)

Applicants to all Michener Full-Time base programs (excluding Digital Health and Data Analytics and Joint Programs with the University of Toronto) must register at Take Casper using their OCAS Application Number (the 9-digit number found on your OCAS dashboard prepended by 23XXXXXXX) or Michener ID (the nine-digit Michener ID prepended by 000xxxxxx found on the application acknowledgment email) to complete the Casper assessment. Casper results will be sent to Michener automatically and will be used along with published admission requirements to rank applicants.

The last available Casper test date for Fall 2024 intake is February 22, 2024. For more information, visit the Mandatory Admissions Assessment page.

STEP 6: Submit Supporting Documents

  • All supporting documents including proof of registration for course prerequisite fulfillment must be submitted by: February 8, 2024. Only complete applications will be assessed and considered for Fall 2024 intake.
  • Applicants with either provisional offers of admission or placed on waitlist must submit all pending documents such as proof of course prerequisite completion and/or degree conferment, etc. by July 12, 2024.

*This does NOT apply to the Casper test. Please refer to our Mandatory Assessment page for available Casper dates.

A) Educational Requirements

All transcripts must be sent directly from the institution or evaluation service* to be considered official. You can request secondary and post-secondary (university/college) transcripts to be sent electronically by visiting the Request Ontario College/University transcripts section of ontariocolleges.ca.

* Internationally educated applicants are required to have their education evaluated by the International Credential Assessment Service of Canada (ICAS) or the World Evaluation Services (WES). Credential Evaluation Reports must be submitted directly to OCAS or to admissions@michener.ca. For more information, please visit the Internationally Educated Applicants page.

B) Other Documents (If applicable)

Supporting documents (aside from transcripts) such as resumes, applicant experience checklists, licenses, and reference letters must be submitted to ask-us@ontariocolleges.ca or admissions@michener.ca. All documents submitted become the property of Ontario Colleges and Michener and will not be returned.

STEP 7:  Application Complete- What Now?

Application Status

The Admissions Team evaluates applications between November to April. During this time, Admissions does not provide updates regarding your application. All applicants will be notified of the admissions decision through email following the assessment period (November to April).

Offers of Admission

Offers of Admission will be sent out in April to top-ranked applicants, who will be given a deadline to accept their offer (OCAS, OUAC, and Michener Self-Service) and pay a non-refundable deposit of $500 ($1500 for international students)^. Offers will continue until each program intake is full. If you receive a provisional offer, it means that you are still completing some of the admission requirements. Please make sure to submit all the missing admission requirements by the final document deadline in July.

^Tuition deposit rate is subject to change.

Post Admission Requirements

Admitted students must comply with Post-Admission requirements that include Health Requirements, a Vulnerable Sector Check and agreements related to Mask Fit Testing, and adherence to Michener policies. Details are specified on the Offer of Admission and the Post-Admissions Requirements page.

Please note that the steps outlined below apply to Anesthesia Assistant and Magnetic Resonance Imaging for Imaging Professionals Programs.

STEP 4:  Apply Online

Apply at ontariocolleges.ca by May 31, 2024 and pay the $125 application fee and the $55 Michener Supplemental Application fee.

STEP 3: Prepare Supporting Documents

Our graduate program requires specific documents to be considered for admission. Check our Supporting Documents page to review the required documents for your application.

STEP 4: Apply Online

Apply at Michener Self-Service by February 1, 2024 and pay the non-refundable $200 application fee. Applications open October 10, 2023.

Michener acknowledges applications on a weekly basis. All applicants will receive an acknowledgment email with a six-digit Michener ID (prepended by 3 zeros).

STEP 5: Register and Complete the Computer Based Assessment for Sampling Personal Characteristics (Casper)

Applicants to the Cardiovascular Perfusion program must register at Take Casper using their Michener ID (the nine-digit Michener ID prepended by 000xxxxxx found on the application acknowledgment email) to complete the Casper assessment. Casper results will be sent to Michener automatically and will be used along with published admission requirements to rank applicants.

If your institution does not support electronic transcripts, physical transcripts may be sent to: Registrar’s Office, Michener Institute of Education at UHN, 222 St. Patrick Street, Toronto ON M5T 1V4

* Internationally educated applicants are required to have their education evaluated by the International Credential Assessment Service of Canada (ICAS) or the World Evaluation Services (WES). B) Other Documents

Supporting documents (aside from transcripts) such as resumes, letters of intent, applicant experience checklists, licenses, recommendation and reference letters must be uploaded through the Graduate Program Document Upload in Michener Self-Service or to admissions@michener.ca. All documents submitted become the property of Michener and will not be returned.

The Admissions Team evaluates applications between November to April. During this time, Admissions does not provide updates regarding your application. All applicants will be notified of the admissions decision through email following the assessment period (November to April).

STEP 3: Prepare Supporting Documents

STEP 4:  Apply and Submit Documents

Submit any outstanding documents, along with your application form, to admissions@michener.ca by the deadline. All documents submitted become the property of Michener Institute and will not be returned. We strongly encourage you to upload all documents at one time.

STEP 5:  Receive Application Acknowledgement 

All applicants will receive an acknowledgment email from Michener with a six-digit Michener ID (prepended by 3 zeros) to confirm that their applications have been received.

Acknowledgment emails will include information about received or required documents and offer timelines.

Step 6: Application Complete- What Now?

Offers of Admission

Once the application deadline has passed, a decision will be made about your application. All communication, including application updates and offers, will be sent via email.

Post-Admission Requirements

Admitted students must comply with Post-Admission requirements specific to their program. Details are specified on the Offer of Admission and the Post-Admissions Requirements page.
