Student Enrolment Officer - Recruitment

Position Summary
The Student Enrolment Officer - Recruitment under the direction of the Manager, Student Enrolment, is primarily responsible for executing the recruiting plans and strategies for The Michener Institute. The incumbent is actively involved in the recruiting of potential applicants, as well as organizing important recruitment events. Recruitment activities include regular communication with those inquiring about Michener, those who have applied and those who have been offered admissions in Michener programs. This position is also responsible for assessing admission files for Michener's full-time programs.
Position Responsiblities
- Scheduling, coordinating and attending off-campus recruitment events
- Planning and executing on-campus recruitment activities, events and campus tours
- Analyzing recruitment trends and assessing the effectiveness of recruitment tactics/strategies
- Assisting with the admissions process
- Communicating with prospective applicants
- Assisting with the development of marketing and promotional material
- Responding to general inquiries regarding admission and program offerings from prospective applicants
Position Qualifications
- A post-secondary degree/diploma is required
- Outstanding public speaking ability
- Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail
- Event and project planning experience is an asset
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast paced environment
- Previous related experience in student recruitment is an asset
- Familiarity with social media management is an asset
- Able to travel locally and across Ontario, for a week at a time throughout the Fall and Spring
- A valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Satisfactory Canadian Police Clearance document required upon hire
