Street Party

McCaul street (between d’arcy street & baldwin street)
With over 800 people expected, this free family event will create the perfect festive environment for our neighbours to get to know us and help us celebrate our birthday. The event will take place on McCaul and run in partnership with the Baldwin Street Pedestrian Sunday event (on adjoining Baldwin Street). The day will include such things as entertainment, children’s activities on our back patio, refreshments and a Michener meet and greet area. In addition to Michener students, staff, faculty and alumni, we will be inviting staff, visitors and patients from the area hospitals including Mount Sinai, Toronto General and the Hospital for Sick Children as well as our community residents, businesses and the general public.
Homecoming Pub Night

Fond pub night memories are bound to be recalled as students, alumni and faculty are invited to kick-off the homecoming weekend with a tribute to pub nights from the past. This is the opportunity to dance, eat (pub fare of course!), drink and mingle with former or current classmates and teachers in a casual environment that will rekindle friendships and take people back to student days! Attendees will be well educated, affluent, health care professionals, administrators and managers as well as present students ranging in age from 20-60.
Homecoming Alumni Brunch

Schatz Hall, the Michener institute
A scrumptious hot buffet breakfast, entertainment and a chance to mingle with fellow alumni and faculty is what the Homecoming Alumni Brunch is all about. There will be tours of the building which will include visiting the “Michener Decade Display Cases” from the past and the “Transformation Gallery” which houses the conceptual space plans for Michener’s transformed facility of the near future. Attendees will be well educated, affluent, health care professionals, administrators and managers ranging from age 30-60.
Gala Dinner

The 50th Anniversary Alumni and Friends Gala Dinner will be an elegant celebratory affair that will highlight Michener’s achievements over the years. Guests will enjoy a magical celebration of food, fun and camaraderie. The fun packed evening will include a video, created specifically for the Gala which will capture the 50 years of the Institute, live entertainment, a silent auction and many more surprises! This is sure to be a “golden” night and the signature event of the homecoming weekend. The event will be attended by well educated, affluent, health care professionals, administrators and managers ranging from age 30-60.
